Outflow changes in positive provocative tests.
The outflow changes in 26 eyes were measured during the course of a positive provocative test with pilocarpine and phenylephrine. Three separate patterns of response occurred: (1) One dose of pilocarpine and phenylephrine produced an acute attack with a large reduction in outflow. (2) The first dose of pilocarpine and phenylephrine produced a fall in pressure and increase in outflow. The second...

IT is the purpose of this paper to compare the results of the lability test of Bloomfield and Lambert (1945) with those of its two components, the venous-congestion test of Schoenberg (1929) (referred to as the "cuff test") and the coldpressure test of Kahler and Sallmann (1929) (referred to as the "ice test"), on a number of normal and glaucomatous eyes, in conditions which correspond as close...

MATERIALS AND METHODS Shoulder Abduction Test (SAT), Spurling Test (ST), Upper Limb Tension Test (ULTT), and electromyography were done on 97 patients who referred to Electrodiagnostic center in the unive...
متن کاملEvaluation of laser iridectomy in angle-closure glaucoma: provocative tests.
An argon laser iridectomy was performed on 18 eyes of 14 patients with closed-angle glaucoma. The intraocular pressure (IOP) was controlled in all but one eye within normal limits. Variable amounts of pigment were found on gonioscopy in all cases. The mydriasis test was positive in one eye (5.5%) after homatropine and in 5 eyes (28%) after tropicamide drops. 80% of the positive results occurred...
